Can’t believe the news today

BTW, I’m back on a regular schedule, so we’ll be back to science and atheism and all that fun stuff tomorrow.  I was off for a few days and made the most of it. Before that I tried to set up some timed posts, but that turned out to exceed my capabilities or something … . I’m glad I missed most of the news coverage. This U2 song kept flitting through my mind whenever I’d catch an update, even though it doesn’t really fit.

StevoR : Free West Papua, free Tibet, let the Chagossians return!

Great song that with a few different versions.

My all-time fave – out of all U2 and almost all music ever – is the Inniskillen version here :

Just listen to Bono there. Raw emotion is a cliche but that, that is raw emotion and so powerful and so, so, durn true. Blows me away every time I hear it. Still.

Glad to have you blogging again.

Colorado batman premiere shootings, what can we say? Awful beyond words.

ForWhatever Little It’s Worth, I think that song is an apt choice and comes to my mind too.

I also wish we heard more prominently and more often about the names and lives of that Colorado murderers victims and less about the pyschopathic scum who killed them. Media. :-(

Also, sorry, I stuffed up that comment (#3) a bit. Mea culpa.
(Maybe edit and put this warning at the top of #3 if you can and that’s okay?)

“They’re reading names out over the radio, all the folks the rest of us won’t get to know.. their lives are bigger than any big idea.”

    That.
