As if Romney needed a bigger credibility problem

From the annals of if-you-wrote-this-down no one would believe it, Romney is now singing a new tune on the auto bailout. When last we left Mittens, he was on his high horse putting all that Bain Cap scavenger expertise claiming the auto bailout would never work and claiming Obama should have let the companies go through an imaginary managed bankruptcy that his own firm and everyone else on passed on. But sinking poll numbers has prompted a different whopper: the successful bailout was Romney’s idea all along!

(TPM) — “[Romney’s] position on the bailout was exactly what President Obama followed,” Fehrnstrom said. “He said, ‘If you want to save the auto industry, just don’t write them a check. That will seal their doom. What they need to do is go through a managed bankruptcy process.’”“Consider that the crown jewel,” Fehrnstrom said. “The only economic success that President Obama has had is because he followed Mitt Romney’s advice.”

Hahaha! Mitt Romney’s advice flipped between an angel investor that did not exist to letting the auto companies go belly up while rewarding those who crashed the industry, along with everything else, with a freight train full of taxpayer cash.

Anything to fuck over unions and hard-working blue-collar employees earning a living wage, eh Mittens? Now that the auto companies are thriving and the crisis averted, Romney wants the credit for an intervention he opposed.

And this joker is running on his integrity and economic genius.

But, but what he did is integrity and economic genius in the GOP world. If something works, take credit for it, no matter what you happened to say beforehand. It’s all part and parcel of saying a lie loud and long enough that people will believe it’s the truth.

Romney keeps giving the Obama campaign staff all the sound bites necessary to defeat him in November. I hope someone on Obama’s staff is keeping a database of these quotes.

Oh, you can count on that. The Obama campaign has a massive IT operation; I saw an article about it in Newsweek.

Where are the reporters that followed every one of Gore’s “lies” in the 2000 campaign? Where are the reporters that followed every one of Kerry’s “flip-flops?” Surely, this one is just too juicy to let go…

Honestly I think Mittens Rmoney is a compulsive liar.

Also I think he’s going to lose the POTUS race 2012 to Obama in a big way.
