Planned parenthood bomber was an anti-reproductive rights nutter

As if there was any doubt, the clown who tried to light up a PP clinic in Wisconsin was a religious right nutcase, he has been found and he has confessed. Another isolated terrorist attack that has nothing to do with eliminist rhetoric flowing from the usual suspects:

Daily Kos) — And as per usual, the “pro-life” activists and organizations are completely silent. Oh, sure, they’ll eventually start issuing their weak condemnations while passionately asserting that they had nothing to do with it. And their rhetoric had nothing to do with it. And the bounties they put on doctors’ heads had nothing to do with it. Because that is what happens every single time. From the Republicans running for president—like Mitt “we’ll get rid of Planned Parenthood” Romney—to the “pro-life” organization Operation Rescue, whose senior policy adviser is herself a convicted felon who tried to blow up an abortion clinic, it’s always the same. Incite violence and then claim shock and innocence when a terrorist follows through. … Every. Single. Time.

Apparently mister-shit-for-brains got into a wreck shortly after the incident and cops recognized him and the vehicle from surveillance tapes. His defense was something along the lines of ‘I was just trying to burn the place down, not blow it up!’ And he was reportedly drunk when he hit another car. Celebrating a night’s hard work with a nice cocktail maybe?

You forgot that the pro-life domestic terrorists also demand that the murderer’s and bombers are not True Christians®.

This guy is a True Christians® — just look at the picture, he looks exactly like a True Christians®.

I’m now looking forward to seeing the reaction of a number of right-wing commentators who claimed that, because of the relatively small amount of damage, the bombing was done by pro-choicers who wanted sympathy.

The so-called pro-lifers who tacitly support the actions of guys like this better pray long and hard they’re all as inept. Sooner or later one of these assholes is going to prove very good at building a bomb and wind up killing a whole bunch of innocent bystanders when he attacks a clinic.

Actually the guy is a habitual criminal and druggie with a long rap sheet for drugs and violence.

    @timgueguen
Wouldn’t ANY person apart from the bomber/firestarter killed in such an attack be “innocent?”

Ah. Another success story for religion.

You’re only saying that because as an atheist you have no basis for morality.

    Snrk.

I nearly said that with a straight face.

It’s always nice to see a terrorist get arrested once in a while.

I’ve dealt with the forced birthers before. While they tend to be vicious they also tend to be not very competent.

Oddly enough, all the terrorist incidents near where I live have all involved fundie xians and right wing extremists. Someone fire bombed the local mosque and it didn’t burn down but it was a close thing.

Fits the profile of a xian terrorist quite well.

The female slavers like martyrs. But they don’t want to be martyrs. They want someone else to get arrested and do the prison time.

They find socially marginal, not very bright, and questionably sane people, wind them up, point them in the right direction, and hope something goes “boom” or some people get killed.

Scott Roeder, Eric Rudolph, Paul Hill, and the white powder mailers were all like this.

I wouldn’t say Eric Rudolph was not very bright. He had a broad agenda, attacked a variety of targets over an extended period of time, and evaded capture for years. And I’m afraid there’s probably another Eric Rudolph out there right now.

It’s already happened. Eric Rudolph bombed the 1996 Olympics, the purpose of the attack, to quote him, “was to confound, anger and embarrass the Washington government in the eyes of the world for its abominable sanctioning of abortion on demand.” I will not pollute my computer by linking to the Army of God web page that published his full statement.

Point: The Olympics bombing was over abortion. 111 injured, one dead, one killed of a heart attack during the ensuing chaos. All of them innocent bystanders.

He also bombed an abortion clinic in Alabama, killing a cop and a security guard. A nurse at the clinic was badly injured.

Big surprise, he hated lesbians, too, and bombed one of their bars in Atlanta.

IOW, he was murderous filth, and deserves to rot in jail for a long, long time.
