JT Eberhard The Trophy Primary Girlfriend™ and her roommates are doing something called February Firsts next month. The idea is that you do something new every day all month. She’ll be blogging them here. So far Michaelyn has…
1. Pay for the person behind you in the drive thru.
2. Learn how to toss an egg up and down on a spatula.
…and that’s pretty much it. However, you all are an inventive lot. Take a break from dismantling the arguments of the faithful and lend her a hand?
If enough good ideas are provided, I may just jump in as well (though February is a busy month for me…but hell, they’re ALL busy months).

Somebody did #1 for me at the local coffee house, on my wedding day unbeknownst to them. It was one of the coolest random things ever to happen to me because it was so unexpected and reminded me that there are still awesome people in the world.

Cooking is always a fun and easy one. Make a dish you’ve never prepared before; if you want, take one of your favorite foods and learn how to make it from scratch.
Make up the difference of less than a dollar of the person in front of you, buying food for their family. Thoh.
Eat a meal entirely grown in your own garden… I guess it might be a little late to start if you’re only going to the end to February.
Build a piece of furniture (Ikea is cheating, get lumber from a hardware store).
Install Linux.
Try a sport you’ve never tried before (with someone who can coach you, of course)
Talk to a toddler.
Do something nice for a senior citizen – stand in line for them.
I’ll be honest, I talk to toddlers all the time.
