Muslims should be ashamed of Islam.

All religions are nonsense. All religions are fairy tales, to fool people.
All religions were born out of ignorance. But it is only Islam which is still shamelessly showing its barbaric behaviour all over the world. Blind believers of Islam have no intention to stop persecuting people, humiliating humanity, stoning women, banning conscience, burning books in the name of protecting their God and prophet.

I hope you know that Saudi humanist Raif Badawi is facing 10 years imprisonment and 1000 lashes for calling an end of religious domination over public life. The reality is, if you want to stop Islamic oppression to save humanity, authorities will accuse you of insulting Islam and punish you. It is not limited to Saudi Arabia. Way too many countries in the world believe in the same insanity.

We hear disturbing news everyday. Women are stoned to death for being in love, writers or artists or human rights activists are lashed, slaughtered, imprisoned, hanged for criticizing Islam.

Today, it is the only ideology in the world which is exempt from critical scrutiny. People stay away from criticizing Islam not because they love Islam, but because they are scared of its terrorist-murderer-slaughterer protectors.

I wonder why Muslims are not ashamed of Islam. How many centuries do they need to know that Islam is not a religion of peace, it is just an anti human rights, anti free speech, anti democracy religion which was created by an Arab camel driver for his own interest.

Let’s protest against the violation of human rights. Come on, it is 21st century, we should not allow ignorance to rule the world.

The world needs to stop witnessing without acting. People using Islam in a bad way needs to be punished and those acts need to be stopped.
It’s 21th century! Not middle age.

Don’t associate honor killings with Islam it has nothing to do with Islam, Islam don’t allow any kins of violence. Miss Taslima, before denigrating the Islam you should obtain some knowledge about the Islam.

    Dear Sister Tasleema:

I really appreciate your freedom of expression. I understand your outbursts towards the present-day Islam and I totally support your views against religion and the barbaric laws which no sensible mind could accept. I have been studying Qur’an for many years without the secondary source of traditions which is what has led to the dark version of Islam practised today, and the deep study has led to further faith in Almighty God, rather than making me an atheist. I also urge you, sister, to study Quran deeply and it will lead you to the sensible conclusions that you made up. As far as I understand, Quran is not a book of religion or a book of rituals to be performed on certain times or days or months, rather it is natural laws of God, our creator, and following which humanity will become one nation, irrespective of religion, caste, creed, sex, social status, etc. God’s statement in chapter 2, verse 213 bears witness to the oneness of humanity: 2:213 The people used to be one nation, then God sent the prophets as bearers of good news and warners, and He sent down with them
the Book with the truth so that they may judge between the people in what they were disputing. But after receiving the clarity, the people disputed in it due to animosity between them. And God guided those who believed with His permission regarding what they disputed in of the truth. And God guides whoever He wishes to a straight path.

Dear sister, for your information, all present day rituals of ritual prayers, fasting, pilgrimage to Mecca, payment of Zakat cannot be proved through Quran but only through the traditional books written centuries after prophet Muhammad’s death. My deep study of Quran has led me to conclude that the terms Salat, Zakat, Hajj, Masjid-al-Haram, and Siyam all have very distinct meaning in Quran which no sensible person can reject or lead him or her to become an atheist. For your information, the meanings I understood of these terms are as follows:

    1. Salat and Zakat- These two terms cannot be separated and are interlocked, one cannot do Zakat without performing Salat. Salat is to constantly follow the Commandments of God and Zakat is the purification attained by executing these Commandments throughout life. Following God’s Commandments establish a healthy, clean, and peaceful society and every member of the society will be caretaker of the rights of one another.

    2. Masjid-al-Haram: This is not the building called Kaaba in Mecca, to which muslims turn their face to while performing daily prayers. No mulla can prove this from Quran. These are the Commandments of God which He does not want all humans to violate. It can be translated as The Inviolable Commandments. These are the Ten Commandments given in Chapter 17, Verses 17 to 39 and includes all other commandments of God in Quran for the benefit of humanity. God asks all humanity to turn their face to these Commandments and not to violate them, which means all humans should live life whole life in accordance with these Commandments.

    3. Siyam: This terms does not mean Fasting. It means resistance, stopping. God says that he decreed siyam to all communities before revealing Quran. Nowhere do we find in Quran mention of any previous prophets or prophet Muhammad perform a hunger fasting from dawn to dusk. But if God claims that Quran is a fully detailed scripture (6:114), then we should find the siyam of the previous communities mentioned in Quran, and of course it is mentioned without doubt. From Prophet Noah to prophet Muhammad, we see that God mentions that all these prophets resisted evil and struggled all their life to stop evil and establish a just and peaceful society. They raised their voices against tyranny and injustice on weaker sections of society, particularly women, who were subjugated and enslaved. They urged all people to be cautious of human rights and not to violate them. They asked those people who resisted their noble mission to either live in harmony with the believers and not to harm anybody in the name of their beliefs or else they will have to face the consequences of their violation of human rights. I understand from study of Quran that all messengers and prophets were chosen by God to declared The Oneness of God and live as one family. I fully understand Quran allows people full freedom to practice their belief systems as long as they are peacemakers and positive builders of society.

    4. Hajj: This is not a pilgrimage to a place or a mosque. This is the highest form of resistance and renaissance that takes place in a society when there is social injustice taking place in society and the weaker sections of the society are not allowed their human rights. If muslims had truly followed the principles of Quran, they would have been the leaders of humanity in establish international peace and security, but they pushed themselves into humiliation by disobeying God’s commandments in Quran and instead going after books which gave them only rituals neither benefited them nor the humanity.

Quran enjoins all humans to take care of two aspects of life to establish a just society: 1. Peace: All humans should live in peace with each other so that nobody is fearful of the other. 2. Security: All humans should be conscious of each others’ rights so that nobody is threatened of their security. True belief in God is described in Quran like this: <> This verse is enough to prove that Quran is not a book for a particular religion, but it encompasses whole humanity as a single nation and urges humanity to be mutually caretakers of each other both in times of prosperity and adversity.

Sister, if you or anybody have any comments on my above observations, you can reply to this message and it will reach my mail.

A verse of Quran noted in my last para was not noted in last post:

Quran enjoins all humans to take care of two aspects of life to establish a just society: 1. Peace: All humans should live in peace with each other so that nobody is fearful of the other. 2. Security: All humans should be conscious of each others’ rights so that nobody is threatened of their security. True belief in God is described in Quran like this: 2:62 Those who believe and those who are Jewish and the Nazarenes and the Sabians, the ones who believe in God and the Last Day and do good deeds; they will have their reward from their Lord and no fear will come upon them nor will they grieve. This verse is enough to prove that Quran is not a book for a particular religion, but it encompasses whole humanity as a single nation and urges humanity to be mutually caretakers of each other both in times of prosperity and adversity.

I disagree with the very first statement of your here. I read your blog and found very interesting information about religions. I practice Sikhism myself and have respect for my religion and the preaching by our prophets. I dint find any single statement about cruelty , disrespect towards women and poor in our holy book. Since birth we are taught , God wants us to respect human, help poor and needy, respect every religion, Be Human.

I would appreciate if while writing you respect the sentiments of people who are religious and are not part of the cruelty you mention in your articles and writings. You have every right to share your thoughts about religion but before making generic comments on ALL religions, please give it a little more thought and little more research…

    Thanks,
    Poonam K. Gill
