March for Science tomorrow

The nationwide March for Science is tomorrow (Saturday), which is also the annual Earth Day. It is a global event with marches all over the world. The main march in the US will be in Washington, DC with satellite marches in various locations across the country and the world for those who cannot make the trip to DC.

The march in Cleveland will be from 9:00am-2:00pm. The assembly point will be at the newly redesigned and renovated Public Square downtown which is easily accessible by public transport. The program consists of activities, including some for children, starting at 9:00 AM followed by speakers at 10:00 AM, with the actual march beginning at 11:00 AM along a route to be specified later but will likely circle around downtown.

The weather tomorrow looks to be good, partly sunny, no rain, though a little cool with a high of 45F, so I hope there is a good turnout.

Sitting in my hotel room at this moment in Ballston, Virgina, just across the Potomac from D.C., eager to join the March tomorrow.

I walked past the march in NYC but was unable to attend due to a prior commitment. It marched past a Trump building at Columbus Circle. Seemed well attended. There is a lot of science in New York, after all.
