Film thriller in reverse

Via Andrea James I came across this seven-minute Indian film titled Rewind that unfolds in reverse. It is curiously mesmerizing.

Reminds me of the French movie Irreversible. In that film, each scene plays out normally, but they are presented in reverse-chronological order.

The way his hands touch the cards in the first minute gave away his blindness. Once I saw the first body on the left, the question for me became how and in what order the others were killed.

    Clever.

Reminds me of Michel Gondry’s video for “Sugar Water” by Cibo Matto. It’s only four minutes long, but it’s two interlocking stories, both of them shot entirely in a single uninterrupted take, one of them forward, one of them in reverse, where the focus character flips from forward into reverse at the two minute mark. It’s mind boggling.
