The equal time rule

Stephen Colbert had a lot of fun a week or so ago with the rules that broadcast television networks use when it comes to nudity, and the problems they encounter when they have to report news involving classical paintings, such as the auction of Modigliani’s Reclining Nude.

He gets another opportunity to have fun with the rules, this time concerning time given to political candidates. Like his series on the absurd rules governing Super PACS that he had on his old show, he has a knack for making the mechanics of the political process entertaining while still informative.
