Conservatives like the weirdest things

After celebrating the good decisions by the US Supreme Court on Obamacare and same-sex marriage, the next day Jon Stewart and The Daily Show team looked at two other decisions that conservatives are hailing as good news, that will either allow companies to more easily pollute the air or will kill death row inmates more painfully.

Okay, I’m confused. I was looking for the “conservatives like the weirdest things” angle in this post, and didn’t see it.

@maddog1129 #1 -- Perhaps Mano is pulling out the old lie that if it ain’t a corporatist right-of-middle Beltway Democrat, then it is therefore a Republican plant.

@Mano -- Bernie Sanders is an actual socialist democrat who has held national office as such for decades. He is a genuine liberal who is speaking to a very large segment of potential voters that have been effectively locked out of national politics for decades because of the Two Party system, which is why he is drawing crowds and raising money like no other candidate has in decades. He is running as a Democrat specifically to avoid being a spoiler: supporting him will not lead to a split ticket (unless he wins the nomination and Clinton decides to pull a Lieberman.)

I’m guessing that Mano accidentally reposted this topic instead of the one he intended. Once he notices the error, he’ll correct it.

This post is almost identical to the previous one, diverging only after the Sanders quote (““Let me just say a few words to my friends in the Republican Party about extremism. …”). Following that quote, this post says “You can watch a clip…” while the previous says “That is absolutely correct.” and this suggests that there has been a saving error while revising a draft of the previous post, followed by mistaking one of the drafts for the post that was intended to be here.

Chiroptera and Holms know me well!

Yes, I messed up. I edited the Sanders post and then queued up this one and then went off to do some other things before checking that everything was ok and did not realize my error until now.

    Sorry for the confusion, folks!
