The ballad of Cliven Bundy

Cliven Bundy, the rancher who thinks that he has a right to have his cattle graze on public property for free while also looking down on African-Americans as people who might have been better off as slaves rather than on welfare, is the gift for comedy that does not stop giving, mainly because he will not stop talking.

First The Daily Show gives us an update.

The The Colbert Report also weighed in.

Scratch a states-rights advocate and (surprise, surprise, surprise) you find a racist. In this case a racist who complains about their dependency on welfare while being completely oblivious to his own dependency on welfare. Its a trifecta of ignorance. States rights based in a misunderstanding of history, racist, and a complete lack of self-awareness.
