A minor milestone

Although I started blogging on January 26, 2005, I joined the FreethoughtBlogs network just this year, on January 10. I noticed that yesterday, I had reached the one million mark in page views since I came here.

Of course, that is small compared to many other blogs but I am personally very gratified by the level of interest. Thanks to all those who have visited and also to those who have taken part in the discussions in the comments. It has been fun and I hope to continue the relationship for a long time.

As someone who didn’t start reading your blog until you moved to FtB, I just want to say that your blog has been one of the best I have ever stumbled upon. I read it almost daily. Congratulations, and keep up the good writing.

I don’t I’ve ever commented, but I always look forward to your new posts. Congrats on the milestone.

Congratulations! I don’t always participate in the discussion, but I drop by to see what you’ve got to say whenever I’m on FTB*.

*Unless it’s a Daily Show or Colbert Report video. I can’t do the fiddle-faddling that allows Canadians to watch them at work, and I’m too lazy to do it at home.

    Congratulations, Mano.

I’ve been reading your blog since ’05 when it was on the CWRU site, and I’m glad that FTB has given you the larger audience you deserve. Keep up the good work, and the next million will be here in a few months.

I too want to thank you for your blog. I don’t comment very often, but I read it every day since you’ve been on FtB.

I “met” you when you moved to FtB. I’ve been greatly impressed and enjoy reading almost every day. Thank you!

Your column is a daily must-read for me. It can be serious or silly, but always thoughtful and insightful. Thanks. I’m always surprised by what a funny guy you are! Somehow I never expected that from a physicist!

It’s funny you should say that. I do not think of myself as being funny though I enjoy the humor of others. In the evaluations in my physics classes, I used to be surprised at the number of students who would say I was funny, though I never tried to be. I suspect that because I am a physicist, people do not expect much so even the slightest glimpse of humor comes as a welcome surprise.

No, you really ARE funny, Mano, in a very dry way. It’s just a wry perspective on life that comes through!

    Congrats,

Found your blog about a year ago (thanks FtB) and it has become a daily (O.K., sometimes 2x or 3x) read for me.

Love the sociopolitical aspect and as a former Northeast Ohioan(30+ years ago but still), the occasional Cleveland specific reference.

I look forward to hopefully years more of posts.

P.S. How about the occasional physics post. I mean just to provide a little balance to the cephalopods and flying dinosaurs (not that there is anything wrong with those).

    Thank you!

    Congratulations, Mano!

I very much enjoy reading your blog and learn a lot from it.

    Keep up the excellent work.

Yeah, I should get back to writing more about science in general and physics in particular. Election politics seems to be more timely but after that is over, I’ll have more time for the other stuff.
