    Okay, afraid I don’t get the first one. Or the last one. Sorry.

    Middle three are good tho’ – cheers!

    The first one refers to an old country-pop crossover song with a chorus beginning, “God didn’t make the little green apples” (“Little Green Apples”, Roger Miller).

    The last one refers to a famous cowboy song whose lyrics included “Get along, little dogie”. “Dogie” is a word for an orphaned calf; the song was about cattle drives. I believe the title was “Whoopie Ti Yi Yo” but I don’t know who recorded it.

    The song is a play on the phrase “as sure as God made little green apples,” which has been around forever.

    I did get the first and last ones. I’m afraid that just makes me old.

    Actually Trebuchet, you may be a bit young for those jokes. I know I was.

    Actually, the second one is the only one I don’t get. The tiny size doesn’t help. Was there a human driver in the car? Was God controlling every move of the human driver? I don’t get it.

    @^ Paul : I thought that was a reference to the common(~ish?) saying about God being put in the driving seat & also yes to both your questions I think.

    @2. DonDueed & #3 jd142 : Ok, cheers.
