These are all clever. I particularly like the Wicked Witch of the North by Northwest.

Poor King Richard. He needed a horse (a horse!) for the sake of his kingdom — but ended up in a bloody carpark. Totally the wrong place for equine acquisition.

Could someone clarify the Marco Polo reference for a South African out of the loop, possibly?

“Marco Polo” is a game played in a swimming pool where people keep yelling “Marco Polo.” It’s like tag. The player who is “it” has to keep their eyes closed and yell “Marco.” Whenever “it” yells “Marco,” the other players have to yell “Polo.” The person who’s “it” then has to try to find and “tag” the other players just by hearing where they are when they yell “Polo.”

Sorry, I’ve got to go with Otzi, 5291+/- years shatters Jesus 1967+/- years or Richard’s paltry 527 years.

Jesus would top Richard’s Hide-And-Seek record IF he had in fact been found. Although many people talk about having found Jesus, it’s necessary to find the physical location of the target person before a round of hide-and-seek may be formally concluded.
No bones about it!

Great collection as usual.
But spare a tear for poor Richard: last legitimate king (unless you’re East Anglian, in which case it’s the Sainted Eadmund).
Had his kingdom usurped by that slimy Welsh miser, and was then lied about in a Tewdwr misinformation campaign (damned Bishop Morton and Thomas Moore and double-damned WS for trying so successfully to be sycophantic).
And now people are trying to deprive him of his hide and seek record!!
I shall be watching the first episode of that delightful (and not much less historical) situation tragedy The Black Adder as a tribute.
