Not ashamed to admit he’s an idiot either.

Given how Christianity has stood in the way of human progress and scientific inquiry, as well as the atrocities committed in its name, he should be ashamed, not proud to be a Christian.

@sunnydale75: and therein lies the problem with any chance of achieving common ground. You’re only seeing things from your perspective, and Perry’s only seeing things from his perspective, with neither trying to understand the other.

  4. TX_secular says:

Sunnydale75 is being factually accurate, remember the Dark Ages? Christianity has a very long history of blocking human advancement in the name of Bronze Age myth.

  5. F says:

Facts are not a perspective. Perspectives, belief, and opinions do not have equal footing with facts. Assuming anyone here wants common ground with Perry further marks you as incapable of critical thinking. Perry is a moron who needs to stop promoting illegal actions.

Sunnydale has the facts. Perry doesn’t.

That makes Perry–and sniveling liars like you–MORONS.

    Do keep up.

tamaratemple may be up to date on her modern relativism, but she neglects to consider that many people who criticize Perry’s inanity are fully cognizant of his “perspective,” having grown up under its sectarian burden — and having tossed it over. Yeah, we know about the brain-fogging effects of religion. We used to be there and got over it.
