Bachmann Didn’t Make a Mistake on the Elvis Thing

When the gaffe prone Michele Bachmann, speaking in South Carolina yesterday, wished the late Elvis Presley a “Happy Birthday” on what was actually the date of his death, she was clearly referring to the king of rock and roll being born into eternal life with Jesus! Why don’t the heathens get this stuff? All those Christians who were cheering and clapping obviously got it!

Well, she’s not a bright woman, is she?

Right-wing Christians were less enamored of Elvis in 1956.

I wonder what Elvis is doing in heaven right now…shooting out the television set, or hanging with a 13-year-old girl?

    She gets scarier every day.

By the way, congrats on the good quality video and audio. Using H264 IS better.

Or perhaps she war referring to his ‘birth’ into his second, secret life after faking his own death. After all, she is a conspiracy nut in addition to being a delusional fundie.

That was a Joe Biden/Dan Quayle type gaff. She is not ready for prime time.

This particular gaff seems more like an honest mistake to me. Picking at it makes us look petty. She’s said more than enough real stupid things to go after.

broca, that isn’t how it’s done. You have to go after everything! Who cares what it looks like? Get the message out loud and clear and often that this woman is not fit to govern a daycare center. What the hell do you think the propaganda arm of the POG does 24 hours a day? This isn’t about being nice or perceived as petty. It is about preventing a dangerous theocrat from having political power.
