In 1991, Bill Hicks *nailed it* about Iraq War in 2011

I’m amazed at how much of this routine works for both wars. It’s uncanny. That was 20 years ago. This was about the first Iraq War. Notice how long it takes for his routine to give away the difference? Even the SCUD Missile stuff at 3:30 really is just like a vehicle born IED. “A war …

This is why CaTURDay is really just embarrassing

Animals are great. Memes can be fun. But look what happened to this one: and that was in 2008! Thanks for skipping Caturday this week, Jen!

This is why a government computer should never be left unattended.

WallPaper_Unclassified

Seriously, you must click this to embiggen. You’ve just gotta see what I did. Okay, well this is actually even more epic than it looks. We have a policy that keeps people from leaving their computers unlocked for various obvious reasons (and some not so obvious). Offenders can sometimes get dealt with in fun ways, …

Penn Jillette misses the point about Atheists and the Chaplaincy

I still love you, Penn – but I have to rebut you here. Penn released this video in May: Penn Jillette mentioned my activism’s news coverage in the New York Times and the Rock Beyond Belief festival (which is most certainly ‘back on’, but was not at the time of this video.) This is a …

The single best video ever made about foxhole atheists (possibly NSFW)

Apartment J, A-News - the funniest show on the internet

This is that rare combination of well-informed reporting and genuinely funny brash sarcasm. Raleigh-based A-News is the DIY equivalent to the Daily Show / Colbert Report for atheists. I have no idea why this show isn’t already massively popular. This entire episode is dedicated to the recently reinvigorated struggle for acceptance by foxhole atheists. Is …

#OccupyFortBragg March 31st 2012 – bring blanket

Foxhole Atheists are on the cusp of real change. We need your help. We need you to care. We are the 20+% We’ve been silenced, threatened, intimidated, and treated as ‘un-American’ for too long. The non-religious military community is the DoD’s second largest religious demographic, outnumbering the next largest group by two orders of magnitude. …

BlagHag plague hits close to home. PZ Myers has military backup

free-kitten-this-mortal-coil

Today I noticed that PZ Myers courageously continued his fight against the caturday plague. PZ alerted all of us at FTB to the sinister plans of Jen McCreight who adopted a kitten over at BlagHag. Those freaking cat hairs stick to my uniforms, and I am declaring war. I bred these anti-caturday warriors myself. Sick ‘em …

Yes, we are aware that Fort Bragg hasn’t added us to their calendar (yet)

Posters and fliers will be distributed on post. All-user notices will be emailed from Fort Bragg’s PAO and MWR to the 60,000 troops. Stories will appear in the local Fort Bragg paper, Paraglide. At least, that’s the sort of support that we have been approved.

Calling all foxhole atheists – fill out THIS version of the Spiritual Fitness test.

That’s right, there is research being done into that offensive mandatory Spiritual Fitness testing and training. PLEASE spread this to all military atheists (CURRENT AND VETERANS!)
