Yesterday I wrote a post about Rev. Otis Moss III from Chicago. He uses twitter during church. Perhaps aptly, he’s compared mobile social networking platforms as on-par with the printing press.
I thought that Twitter’s 140 character constraint would render it an ineffective tool for any congregation. So I tried to boil down the entire Bible into a single tweet. I sent it to Rev. Otis Moss III – @om3 – It went like this:

I heard that other people had some pretty epic conversations too. I saw some other attempts at 140 character versions of the entire bible. I laughed like a bastard. But it seems we may now have an even better opportunity.

Do you think God has ever been wrong and/or gone overboard?

It’s the reverse of hit-and-run. I get to ask some clever-clever question that I’m sure this theologist has never heard before … and he can then give some answer that serves his purpose and cements his spiritual leadership over his flock. I don’t get to say, “Hay, wait a moment. You didn’t answer my question at all. And what about Naomi?”

Oddly, Greg wasn’t satisfied, even when she pointed out all the time she’d just saved him…
