Woman on train: “You Irish?”

Me: “Nope.”

Woman: “Jewish, right? My first boyfriend was Jewish. He had the softest hands.”

    Yes, I frequently find myself opting between Irish and Jewish when trying to discern approximate heritage.

    Interesting engaging in conversation with random passengers. It has also caveats. This is why I decline to engage in conversation with unknown people whether on a train, internet or skype. Maybe, I belong to an old era.
