Obama And The Security Surveillance State

Obama is the first POTUS who has come close to admitting that he does not have real power to rein in the security surveillance state, and that agencies like the NSA, FBI, and CIA (and probably ones that we don’t even know exist) have institutional power that in some respects is greater in practical terms than that of the POTUS.

    J. Edgar Hoover had a fine old time blackmailing Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon.

    The security surveilance state has metastasized.

    I think this was obvious during his first three months in office, this and his subservient position to those that hold the purse strings.
