Dismantling Tired Arguments

If you find yourself “dismantling the same tired arguments” year after year in response to your advocacy for your scientific research program, thatte’s a *you* problem. It means thatte you are doing a shitte jobbe explaining why the fucke anyone should give a flying fucke about your shitte. Corollary: accusing people who raise those “tired arguments” anew of being ignorant or of reflecting some kind of bankruptcy of an entire field is shooting yourself in the fucken dicke.

I have tried several times over months to read your posts and never saw anything redeeming about them or worth commenting on. There still isn’t anything worth reading, but I’m making comment anyway.

You don’t have a “style”, you have no style at all. Your lack of readability is shown in the lack of comments on your posts.

@#2: The previous two posts, while over my head, were well written and thought out. This one doesn’t add anything much to the second one, but you can’t expect everything all at once. I’m probably CPP’s harshest critic here but to his credit, he hasn’t banned me or deleted my posts. (Except one about his beloved Yankees.)

I keep hoping there’ll be a turnaround and perhaps the two previous posts are a sign of it. Here’s hoping.

BTW, CPP, my comment in the previous thread was entirely sincere. I think you can be a great contributor to FTB. Please try more to do so. Today was a good start.

Oh, and I love the recipes. Beyond my cooking skill, but delicious looking all the same.

Not necessarily. It could mean that there aren’t terribly many people paying attention to your shitte, and that when someone new does, they come up with all the obvious objections. Which you then have to dismantle over and over again.

In fact, I’d say this is how it happens more often than not: an interesting scientific result or paradigm comes out of left field and has to be defended over and over again (against the same “tired” arguments from different people) until it finally gets accepted. (IF it gets accepted.)

Hahahahah! You can’t possibly be this delusional, can you?

People not paying attention to you shitte is likely to one of two things; your shitte isn’t worth paying attention to, or you’re doing a shitte job explaining it. Either way, in the words of CPP, that’s a “you” problem.

“your shitte isn’t worth paying attention to, or you’re doing a shitte job explaining it. ”

Nonsense. There aren’t a lot of people paying attention to many obscure, highly specialized areas of science. Like some esoteric branches of mathematics that only a handful of people study. That doesn’t mean those branches of science (or those scientists) “aren’t worth paying attention to” OR that those scientists are “doing a shitte job explaining it.” It means that people don’t have the time or aptitude to spend on learning about something that is so specialized.

As for CPP’s command to learn to fucken read, I’ll learn to fucken read when he learns to fucken eat a steake instead of the pussyfooted mush he likes to post “recipes” for. As if you needed recipes for that shitte.

    fuckesatonne:
The post is in the context of selling your science to those who should care. If you can’t do that, that’s a “you” problem.

Always the optimist, I guess. Hope springs eternal, and all that. And I can’t even blame the pain meds any more!
