Question For Photographers


What the motherfucken fucke is the dealio with these goddamn stupid “artistic” portraits of people where portions of the poor fucke’s face are cut off at the edge of the fucken frame? What fucken asshole came up with the idea not to show the entire motherfucken face?

    Since the portraitists of the 50s and 60s more or less perfected the straight-on studio portrait, all that was left for the next generation to do was to perfect the bad, or “edgy” portrait.

    And, like, fukken painters. Why the helle can’t they just do realistic stille-liffes and landscapes and conventionally-framed portraits and alle thatte shitte? Who thought it would be a good fukken idea to fukken messe with color and technique and framing and do impressionism and surrealism and cubism and alle thatte otherre shitte?

    (OK, for headshots and paid-for-by-the-subject portraits and such it’s annoying as alle shitte, but stille.)

    Cutting off the face is shitte. Putting the fingers under the chin is fuckked beyond belief.

    Really, really cheape technique. Maim all photographers who do this.
