Requiring health insurance companies to provide its policyholders with contraception absent co-pays is not requiring them to provide “free” contraception. Anyone who claims this is either an ignorant fucken buffoon or a lying bagge of dickes.

Indeed. I pay a premium to my insurance company each month. My employer pays a premium as well. The only difference between yesterday and today is that I won’t be paying a co-pay for one of my prescriptions. But nothing I get is “free”. If they didn’t get my premiums I’d have to pay full-price for everything (I’ve been there and it isn’t pretty).

lying bagge of dickes is appropriate, though overly genteel and understated.

Yes, i know, getting insurance companies to do their fucking jobs and actually disburse money for anything is a crime against something or other.

Didn’t you know? Insurance companies are only in the business of advertising that they provide health coverage. It’s basically a jobs program for all the graphic artists and actuaries that were hit the hardest by the recession.
