Everyone knew National Geographic would play silly games after they took over Scienceblogs. That’s why this whole FtB thing was started.
But yes, they are fucking assholes.

This is why I was so puzzled when I read that NG was going to buy Scienceblogs. The expressed goal was for them to come in, buy a blog network that was successful because of it’s bloggers, and then institute a bunch of changes that would make a chunk of the bloggers leave?
Confusing, confusing.

The business model doesn’t make sense to me either.
I wonder how much longer Orac will be there? I remember reading that he is currently considering his options.
