The only problem with Rivera is he pitches for the Yankees.

<My two favorite baseball teams are the Red Sox and whoever is playing beating the Yankees.>

So you admit that Rivera is perfect. Personally, I think you should be a little more concerned with whomever is playing the Rays there, ‘Tis.

Or beating the Dog-awful Orioles at least once today.

Rivera is going into the Hall of Fame as soon as he’s eligible. He’s got a career ERA of 2.22. He’s a superb reliever. My only problem with him is he plays for the wrong team.

The Bosox played poorly in April, very well during the summer, and have gone back to playing poorly in September. And it would be nice if they could beat the Orioles. At least they’re leading in the second game 6-3. But it’s only the top of the 3rd. There’s plenty of time for Boston to lose this game

I hope you fuckes squeak into the wild-card ahead of Tampa Bay. Because right now, they are much scarier to face in the playoffs than you fuckes.

I agree that Rivera is the greatest, but even the greatest have an off day. As a Dbacks fan I fondly remember the 2001 World Series.

    Crap. A D-Bags fan.

    Um… Uh…

The World Series is played in October, not November. That game doesn’t count.

Not the best. Cakewalk relieving for the Wankees. Much more impressive to put up big numbers on crap teams. Like Hoffman did.

As a Yankees supporter who gets out to a game around once a season I have to say I feel privileged to have watched Mariano Rivera pitch.

At times it felt like cheating because the other teams only got eight innings, at most, in which they could reasonably hope to score.
