9/11

As someone who has lived in Manhattan for many years, and who was downtown on 9/11, I am absolutely fucken livid at these greedy fucken vicious pigs like Palin and Gingrich and Beck who attempt to exploit this horrible event for their own vile despicable political schemes. Fuck them all. *They* are the ones who hate America and the reality of what it is.

    Absolutely.
Sadly, about half of the people in this country either don’t realize it or willfully choose to ignore it because it suits some other pet agenda of theirs.

The tea party and all its fuckwits are funded by billionaires who just want to get out of paying taxes. Religious, right wing banter is just added fluff to attract the masses.

Any Republican voter who makes less than $250,000 per year is nothing more than a lamb leaping to their own slaughter…

They say you hate America and you say that THEY hate America. I would say there’s truth to both sides. “Liberal progressives” obviously delight in spewing nasty shit about the US and its citizens on a pretty much daily basis. And because both sides insist on being such babies about it, we’re screwed. Thanks.

    :(

ps. Um, I don’t think it was “Manhattan” that was attacked on 9/11.

But much of it usually has basis in fact.

Data does in fact indicate that the socially conservative are considerably dumber than the socially liberal.

I wasn’t doubting that “much of it” does. But much of it does not, and is just convenient scapegoating. And yes over time it does give the impression you don’t care much for the country.

But thanks for missing my point and for stereotyping others and being an overall prejudiced asshole, it really helps!

Stereotyping others? Are you familiar with the GSS?

What do we expect from this kind of people? They are opportunists who only seek to accomplish their goals without minding other people around them. People should no longer trust them with their votes.

Well, Manhattan certainly took the brunt of it. And sure, Manhattan was attacked as a symbol of America, but it was Manhattan buildings that were on fire and collapsed, Manhattan workers who evacuated in a cloud of death-dust, Manhattan residents whose apartments and schools were inaccessible.

Doesn’t NYC have the right to build what it wants in Manhattan? What business do Palin (a resident of Alaska), Beck (a resident of Connecticut) and Gingrich (a resident of Virginia) have saying anything about what New Yorkers do with a patch of property in Manhattan? It’s not federal land. Even Ground Zero – where the Center isn’t going to be located – is not federal land.
