   He could hit 600 more and he still wouldn’t be fit to carry Aaron’s jockstrap…..or Sadaharu Oh’s for that matter.
   I can understand (sorta) cheering for the Yankees as they do everything possible within the rotten setup of MLB to win every year. But cheering for a lying cheating fraud? To each his own, I guess.

   Are you willing to put an asterisk on Bob Gibson’s 1968 ERA record? One for the 15 inch mound?

   Actually, maybe it needs a dagger symbol too, for the live-ball era.

   In my view, the whole era was steroidified, everyone was juicing (and those who weren’t, well aren’t you sad you couldn’t get the Player’s Association to allow testing), and so the whole thing is the Steroid Era.
