The commentators of the dumb boring stupid fucking All-Star home-run derby are talking about why the last few years, pitching has been a fuckton better, so few homers have been hit, and there have been a statistically abnormal number of no-hitters and perfect games. One of the douchebags wonders why that is, and Morgan says–I shit you not–the pitchers have started to really work harder at studying video tape of the batters they are gonna face.
And some producer douchebag must have shouted into Morgan’s earpiece, “Would you guys shut the fuck up about this!?!? Here, give ‘em this stat, and then shut the fucking fuck up about it!!!” And then Morgan goes–again, I shit you not–”Wow! This year the average home run was 396 feet! Those are some serious long balls!”
Jeezus motherfuck, it is insulting how fucking stupid they think baseball fans are.
UPDATE:And BTW, it is obvious that these announcers fucking HATE having to call/color this stupid fucking nonsense. You can literally hear them cringing at the whole thing with every call and comment.

I recall that pitching was unusually strong between about 1967 and 1974. Do amphetamines help pitchers more than batters?

Answer: Fucking stupid enough to watch the “dumb boring stupid fucking All-Star home-run derby.” I’m fairly confident that’s correct.

The only thing worse than the MLB All-Star game is the NHL All-Star game.
