Reasonable conservative blogger Jon Swift has just died, as reported by his mom in a comment at his blog. It is a tremendous fucking shame that he will not be around to see his reasonable conservative ideas in action repairing the destruction wreaked on America by radical leftist Obama.

Despite the fact that I probably disagreed roundly with that guy’s politics, reading the comments on the thread he appeared to be admired by people on both sides of the aisle.
I would rather the GOP have been full of ‘reasonable’ conservatives than the utter batshit it’s full of now. ‘Reasonable’ conservatives are opponents we liberals are prouder to utterly demolish electorally and politically than the fringe wackos.

I do have to say, though, the word ‘reasonable’ in front of the word ‘conservative’ is just a tad too generous for even the least rightist of them.
I mean, even if they’re socially liberal, their knee-jerk hatred of taxes is woefully ignorant of, well, how organizations of people work.
