Funny Shit

I was in a committee meeting yesterday with several of my colleagues, and the thought kept running through my head as one of them kept making the point that if our university were a corporation and not a university, a certain thing would be be done a different way: IF OUR UNIVERSITY WERE A CORPORATION YOUR SORRY MOTHERFUCKING ASS WOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED DECADES AGO!

I’m always amused when people think for-profit corporations are the epitome of efficiency. Such people do not, apparently, read Dilbert, or they do not realize that Dilbert is a documentary of the norm, not a satire of the exceptions.

Maybe your corporation would have gotten federal bailout money and you and your colleagues would have received multi-million dollar bonuses!

Funny shit, indeed. The things that people get by with in academia boggle the minds of those who work in the business world.

I would not necessarily call that academia. Just Mama Money !!!!.

Don’t you know the system ??.

When you are good to Mama,
Mama is good to YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU !!!

Hopefully, the increase in NIH budget for 2010 is better followed up !.

So you’re saying you haven’t spent much time in the private sector, then.

I work for the federal government, and many of my co-workers would never make it in the private sector. It is technically possible but very very difficult to fire someone for being incompetent.

Some how only the lame ass driftwood profs seem to bring that point up which makes it all the more comical.

Looked at the urban dictionary. It’s fun. I live in the countryside.
