Chump Change

Wow this shit is totally fucking awesome, right?

Democrats are breathing a sigh of relief after a positive cost report on health care overhaul gave them a chance to rally around a Senate plan that significantly expands coverage while trimming the federal deficit. The Congressional Budget Office said Wednesday that the latest version of the Senate Finance Committee proposal would expand coverage to 94 percent of all eligible Americans at a 10-year cost of $829 billion.

The budget umpires added that the legislation would reduce federal deficits by $81 billion over a decade and could lead to continued reductions in federal red ink in the years beyond.

Wait! Wut?

Estimated War-Related Costs, Iraq and Afghanistan

These motherfucking pathetic douchebags are “breathing a sigh of relief” that a mostly-useless bipartisaned-to-fucking-death health care bill is only gonna cost $829 billion over ten motherfucking years, when the wars of choice in Iraq and Afghanistan have already cost $2172 billion over eight years, and have cost $864 just in the motherfucking 2009 fiscal year (which just ended)? And all this fucking sick-fuck right-wing handwringing about how it’s too expensive to give health care to everyone, and niggers, spics, liberals, artists, non-muslim-hating jews, poor people, and other assorted non-Real Americans should be left to die in the motherfucking gutter because they don’t “deserve” health care, but Real Hard-Working Americans (i.e., white racist christian theocrat scumbags and white plutocrat greedfucks) do?

While Democrats breathe their sigh of relief and rally around their eviscerated piece-of-shit “health” (i.e., full bonuses for greedfuck health corp CEOs) plan, excuse me while I fucking puke.

The cost of any public policy would pale in comparison to the cost of the wars. So that’s not reason alone to put a rubber stamp ‘OK, let’s do it!’ on anything that costs the American people money.

That being said, I completely agree with you. Why make our own people healthy when we can bomb the fuck out of the Arabs while promoting death and destruction elsewhere?!?!?!?!!!

Agreed. The priorities of the fucknuts in Washington are totally out of whack. Education is (supposedly) free, mandatory and (allegedly) provided for everyone but healthcare is something reserved for those that (1) have jobs that provide a decent plan or (2) have squillions of dollars? CE is quite right – why bother with the health of the poor and jobless when there are other countries to invade and destabilize?

Thanks for the post. The idiotic justifications for not covering those that can’t afford healthcare drive me up the wall — ‘X% of people can afford to buy coverage but don’t, thus we shouldn’t pay for any of the uninsured’ etc etc.

And this from my senator, douchebag Saxby Chambliss:

“I do not believe that a health care overhaul bill should include a government run option to provide health coverage. Such an alternative would be able to charge much lower rates and would reimburse providers at a much lower level than private insurance plans and limit competition rather than fostering it. Overtime, this could well eliminate private insurance companies and drive all individuals to the government run option that would essentially become a single payer system. A health care system that is run by federal bureaucrats would allow the federal government to determine the coverage it feels is appropriate for you, choose the doctors that you see, and dictate the care that you receive. “

It is very very bad when I try to comment on something and all I can manage is profanity. There’s nothing more to say than “Fuck”.
