Despite the extremist far-right-wing theocratic misogynist lies, late-term abortion has nothing whatsoever to do with slutty sluts avoiding “consequences” of their slutty sluttitude, or airheaded bitchez “changing their minds” at the last minute to indulge their selfish bitch whims.
UPDATE: Just to clarify, the point is that–surprise, surprise–extremist far-right-wing theocratic misogynists are lying about the reality of late-term abortion. I am not implying that if what they were saying were true, then it would therefore be appropriate to ban late-term abortion.

It’s sad that this needs pointing out, because I can’t think of a country where late term abortions are actually legal in any other cases than the ones you mentioned.

But given that the major proponents of the argument against late-term abortions are the white, middle class, Christians that form the majority in decision-making positions in this country, surely their actions and arguments are understandable. After all, white, middle class, Christian women don’t have abortions, do they? Isn’t it just the poor non-white skanks that have unwanted pregnancies or the need for a late-term abortion.

Perhaps not, but in cases #2 and #3, it seems that since the fetus is probably viable why not just deliver right then and there and give it up for adoption?

I don’t think caveats and judgement calls regarding intention in abortion help much.
I understand wanting to refute the right-wing lies about why late term abortion usually happens. But to me this post reads like this: “Women who undertake late term abortions generally do so because their life is in danger. If that weren’t so, though, then maybe you right-wingers would have a point.”
