UPDATED: A few readers have expressed concern that they “don’t get” ShakyFoot. Here’s the dealio:

See the left bare foot? See how it’s shaking? See how it’s under an umbrella, but in the sun and not being rained on?

See how the clothed dude is reading a newspaper with a bare foot on the cover that’s shaking? See how the clothed dude’s shod left foot is shaking? See how the clothed dude has no umbrella, and is being rained on?

That shit is fucking hilarious!! ShakyFoot!!!!!!1111!11!ELEVENTY!11!!!

I don’t get it either, but it looks great!

The point of zen stuff is not to get it, but to meditate and meditate on it until ZING! You’re enlightened. So Zen Comix seems aptly named.

I still don’t get it, and I think I get Zen (sometimes…well, I do that meditative breathing shit anyway and it works for me). Perhaps I am not meteorologically or journalistically inclined enough to understand the causal relationship between rain, sun, newsprint and foot-shaking. It is a lovely illustration but the joke has missed me completely.

this reminds me of those pictures you stare at until the image pops out when your eyes cross.

    off to read my horoscope…

My theory is that the weed is stronger now then it was when the hipster doods would giggle their motherfucking asses off to Freak Bros. Comics. Those were moderately amusing but this shit is not.

Nope, don’t get it. Nor the humor at the site. Though maybe if the missing images didn’t violate Photobucket’s ToS and were still posted……

Shakyfoot is the name of a band, some friends of mine from my old days in Boston. The image related to lyrics in one of their songs, so I’m not intentionally trying to make a “joke”.

Meanwhile, I’ve been offline for a few weeks with some severe computer malfunctions, so I hope to get the Zencomix site updated soon with the banned Photobucket images reposted.
