Erm, woops. That creationist comment was me, and it was supposed to be sarcastic.
I was trying to point out to the misogynist commenters that scientists don’t debate creationists because evolution is well established fact and arguing about it is a waste of time – and that that logic also might explain why no one is debating them about whether sexism is ok.
It was pretty damn obscure, but it was at the end of a dead comment thread, I didn’t expect to make the front page!

I decided against it because I felt that although my post was largely based off how people tend to debate in general, it would appear as though I was pursuing a personal vendetta again you, CPP. At any rate, no one argued that sexism is okay. The argument is that there was no “systematic” sexism in this case. CPP is as delusioned and dogmatic as the average creationist. She does divide herself from many creationists in that at least the creationists try to defend their positions, but I would argue that most don’t bother – “It’s my faith” is a common statement (of creationists and the more liberally religious) meaning “Stop questioning me”. CPP has a feminist faith she feels is beyond reproach.
Fortunately, she’s reaching the end of the color spectrum, so her “Loon alert” ‘joke’ only has so much life.*
*This is where it takes on a new life thanks to acknowledgement.

Originally I thought CPP was smart and amusing but I’ve become increasingly disturbed by the hypocrisy and mob mentality and bored with the profanity. Just look how I’ve been treated. At least I’ve been honest about who I am (except the name) as far as sex, race, socioeconomic background, even family details. We don’t even know if CPP is a man or a woman (at this point I’m going with woman). I’ve argued my case but CPP just swears, yet I am called a troll!
