Jim Kunstler has an excellent post up today on his blog Clusterfuck Nation discussing the complete implosion of the United States economy, built as it is on a tissue of lies that the American people bought into and which enabled the transfer of a vast amount of wealth into the hands of a very small cadre of despicable greedfucks.
(Some analysis is inside the crack.)
Here is a very good point he makes:
At least one thing ought to be clear: this has happened due to the negligence and misfeasance of the regulating authorities, namely the Republican Party, and that now all the hoopla surrounding Sarah Palin can be swept away revealing that group to be what they actually are: the party that wrecked America. I hope one or two Barack Obama campaign officials are reading this blog. You must commence the re-branding of the opposition right now. The Republicans must be clearly identified as, the party that wrecked America.
Yes, this is absolutely undeniably correct. The Republican Party is the political party that has completely fucking wrecked America. In fact, their avowed political, social, and economic philosophy–so-called “conservatism”–has always been morally and pragmatically deranged, and thus has had as its inevitable outcome the complete destruction of everything decent people care about. What is a miracle is that it has taken these depraved sick fucks so long to make it happen.
Kunstler goes on to say something, however, that I have to disagree with:
Some group of somebodies will have to clean up this mess. Moving toward a major election, it is hard to imagine the American people giving the clean-up task to the very group that created the mess — no matter how many cute little faces Sarah Palin can make on TV.
Unfortunately, Kunstler grossly underestimates the irredeemable intellectual incapacity and moral degeneracy of large swaths of the American voting public. It would not surprise me one fucking bit if these hate-addled dumbfucks once again vote to for their own certain demise, all the while blaming it as they have for the last 40 years on the wrong fucking people!

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!! People are pissed. But they think that the downfall of the economy and their shrinking paychecks have something to do with urban gay atheists who eat fetuses while sipping their lates.

Now they all need “welfare” and you can bet the elite will still claim that poor are the biggest “drain” on the system.

I read The Long Emergency. Scary scenarios, but I’m afraid probably pretty dead right. We are certainly entering into it now.
