Some will turn out long down the road of history, to have ‘handlers’ tied to rightwing evangelicals, bigoted orgs like KKK, and secret police groups linked to government departments.
This guy’s handlers were Savage, Hannity and O’Reilly.
I’m not sure who the worse of them all is, handler wise.

I don’t think guns are the problem, mikeb302000. IIRC, Canada has more guns per capita than the US and less gun crime.
I think it’s an attitude towards violence.
Also, Canada has hate speech laws that, IIRC, are absent from the US. I think a lot of the crazy shite that get said on the air down south would be taken off the air up here, but I’m not an expert on the subject.

This is the logical and incredibly predictable outcome of allowing gasbags like Rush and the despicable Ann Coulter to spew hate day after day, year after year.
I’m with Anna on the attitude. Canadians own a lot of long guns because they view guns as tools for hunting; U.S. citizens want handguns because they see guns as being for self-defense. It’s a whole different mindset.

PhysioProf, this story messed with my fragile parental confidence. You see, my little child goes to a church-based day care every morning (not simply because its church-based but because it was place I felt comfortable with) and I typically identify with the “liberal agenda.”. The idea that we shoot each other over our politcal beliefs…it boggles my mind. As someone who enjoys the academic discourse, what is the point of the discourse if we cannot disagree sometimes?
But I think you are absolutely right on all counts. When people with influence turn the discourse personal (assigning people to categories like liberal and conservative and accusing people of ruining America) the result can never be good. I think these so called “conservative pundits” need to remember the primary teaching of the person whose name they through aaround so often: treat others as you would want to be treated.
Now, I realize as I prepare to click “submit comment” that I have not thrown around nearly as many f-bombs as your previous commenters. I am not sure if they are a required component. Just in case:
