As Earth-Bound Misfit rightly points out, there may be a few other serious fucking candidates for “greatest evil, probably, that this nation has ever faced”, such as Hitler’s Germany, Stalin’s Soviet Union, Imperial Japan:
Oh. Really. Permit me, if I may, to introduce you to a few butchers whose toll of slaughter makes Osama bin Ladin look like a toddler in a day-care center.
My point here is not, however, about how fucking stupid McCain either himself is, or believes potential voters to be. Rather, my point is that the mainstream media is populated by complete utter irredeemably motherfucking depraved motherfuckers, who hate the American polity with a passion, do everything they possibly can to destroy our political system, and therefore deserve to suffer boundless pain endlessly in the deepest pits of hell.
Right-wing douchehounds like McCain say wackaloon crazy shit like “Islamofascism is the greatest evil evaaahh”, mean it, and no one calls them on it. Michelle Obama makes a comment that–taken in proper context (h/t Glenn Greenwald)–is clearly about exactly the vile shitpile of lies, distortions, and character smears that the mainstream media dump on the voting public, and lying diarrhoeic scumbags like Bill O’Reilly are stampeding for the fainting couch and accusing her of “hating America”. Gimme a fucking break.
The bright side of this (as also noted by Greenwald) is that normal people are starting to go: “Hey. Wait a minute. These right-wing-dick sucking mainstream media assholes are motherfucking LIARS!”
