News item: The Beeb is reporting 3 arrests in Bangladesh in connection with the recent murders of secular and atheist bloggers. One of the arrestees, charged with planning the murders, is a citizen of the United Kingdom.
It is very rude to cross-post the same comment across multiple threads, particularly when it’s not even remotely related to the topic. It also looks a bit desperate.
I’m sure you recognize the breach of conduct and feel properly abashed now that it is pointed out. Your posts always exhibit such a retiring nature, politely removing themselves from the threads.

If by chance P.Z is anywhere near Ocean Shores WA. (I go almost year) I highly recommend finding the restaurant at the Ocean Crest resort.
Wonderful place with wonderful staff.
On one of my visits they did not have the ingredients for a vegan meal on their menu, the head chef came out from the kitchen and offered to create something new on the spot for me. It was great and I appreciated the effort.

I heard someone on the phone last night saying he’s from the “Eastern seaboard.” Being from the Eastern seaboard myself, I’ve heard this phrase often in my life. I’ve lived in San Francisco for 40+ years, and I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say “Western seaboard.” It’s either the “West coast” or just “the coast.” Ain’t the American language wonderful.

Another language bit: When I lived in New York City we would go to the shore. When I lived in Los Angeles, we always went to the beach.

A few decades back, there were sea lions hanging out near a fish ladder in Seattle, eating all the salmon. Some folks wanted to shoot “Herschel”, others threatened to shoot anyone who harmed them. So somehow they captured three of the seal lions, and trucked them across the Olympic Peninsula to the Pacific, somewhere near PZ’s pic. There was a picture of the three galumphing down the beach to the water, that somehow conveyed their happiness and anticipation at returning to their ocean home, where they could float and fly and feed and be free.
One of them got around the peninsula and back to Seattle in, like, three days.
