Tomorrow

It’s a big day tomorrow! First, Jamie Kilstein’s and Allison Kilkenny’s book, NEWSFAIL, comes out. I’ve pre-ordered it for my Kindle, so I’m kind of hoping my iPad will go beep at 12:01 am tonight. You can read an interview with the two of them on Skepchick right now (I’m not big enough to score an interview with them, or to appear on Citizen Radio, even though Jamie was once the opening act for a lecture I did in DC <drinks whole bottle of bourbon, wades into the ocean, drowns, weeping>).

Also, tomorrow evening, Bill Nye will be speaking at UMM. That link lies, though, it’s all sold out — and I have a few students who are very unhappy about that right now. I’m thinking I can be reading NEWSFAIL while I’m waiting for the talk to commence. I’m also going to be hangin’ with Bill after the talk, but it would probably be terribly gauche to be reading NEWSFAIL during a social event.

Oh, yeah, there are also labs and teaching and stuff all day tomorrow. It’s going to be busy.

I hope that you report back on what Bill Nye had to say in his lecture.

Oops …. Ninth Circuit ruled today that all stays are removed, but that marriages can begin on Wednesday morning. Not great, but I’ll take it.

And I’m glad that your Tuesday is just a little bit less crowded now.
