    I, too, inferred that this plant must flower all year, such that it could provide year-round sustenance to this specialized bird. Otherwise the deeply curved bill would disadvantage the critter for other fare, thus probably resisting such co-evolution to this (as I view it) extreme. Thanks for sharing this.

    You evilutionists really don’t know anything do you. On Monday it’s the flower warping the bird and today it’s the bird warping the flower. In fact both are obvious products of intelligent design … just like the banana.
