Hey, look what just arrived!

That new book about lovely atheists by Chris Johnson, A Better Life. I’m supposed to be in it, but it’s been sitting in a box outside all day, and it’s frozen solid and painful to touch, so I can’t open it yet. Later. Order it now!

And I thought Marillion was a better way of life.

    Thanks for the recommendation, PZ.

The one and only comment left

“Looks like a good book, but spoiled by including that bitter and joyless idealogue PZ Myers.”

@7: Based on his latest post about the plumbing problem, I suspect he’s pretty joyless today.

Can someone identify the folks on the cover for me? I’m only getting about half — Dawkins, P&T, Greta…that’s about it.

I haven’t seen the inside of the book, thumbed through it or seen all the listings of the people covered in it, so I may be speaking out of ignorance here, but if it mainly show cases people to which many in atheist community are familiar, but not people more generally familiar to the wider non-freethinker/atheist community, it may have problems resonating in that wider theist community.

I would think it should cover a good number of more generally recognizable personalities who are [atheist/agnostic/secular/freethinker], so it could more easily link into those people in the wider theist community who may be curious and more open to non/anti-theist ideas and living, assuming that it is, in part at least, an attempt to present an alternative way of approaching life and belief (or lack of).
