    @David Marjanovic:
    Hemant didn’t actually sell his soul on eBay – that’s not allowed, because there is no way of demonstrating transfer of ownership (and perhaps also because you can’t sell human body parts). He sold his going to Christian churches for a certain amount of time, with the proceeds of $504 going to the Secular Student Alliance.

    But “atheist sells soul on eBay” is how that was reported in a couple of news stories, so “I Sold My Sould on eBay” became the title of Hemant’s first book. The sale is on his second book.

    If somebody buy Hemnant’s soul, are they entitled to all the Mehta-data, too?

    Not that I claim any kind of competence in these matters. I owe my soul to the company store.

    Uh oh. Can you still fog a mirror? Use an automatic door? Do cats hiss when you pass?

    Can’t sell your soul on eBay!? Can’t sell body parts!? What kind of anti-capitalist claptrap is that!?

    99 cents, you say? Amazon has it priced at $2.99 when I go to the Kindle Store. Story of my life…

    Me too, Sir Gene, I see Kindle Price: $2.99.
    And I do have Amazon Prime, and am logged in as such, so I’d see any special deals for Prime members. But it definitely shows $2.99

    Hemant explained on his blog that the $0.99 was a special limited-term discount. Then it goes back up to $2.99 for a while, then to full price.

    Did Hemant sell his shoes perhaps? Or, is he speaking in tongues and acting like a heel? Either way, he’s a hero.

    I’ve got far better things to do with my 99 cents. Don’t ask me what they are right now, but I’m sure I’ve got far, far better things to do with my 99 cents.
