Tonight, on the Nones

I’ll be joining Lilandra and Shayrah on The Nones podcast this evening, along with a few others.

PZ Myers of Pharyngula, Vic Wang of Houston Atheists, and Neeley Rebel Fluke of Orange County Freethought Alliance, and the mister Aron Ra will join Shayrah and me on the n0nes today at 8:00 PM CST. We will be discussing just who is scientifically inept Ken Ham or us. (Hint it isn’t us) We’ll also be further discussing what we are planning to do about Ham’s visit to Houston homeschoolers to hawk Young Earth Creationism as science.

I think we’ll be making mocking chicken noises in the direction of Answers in Genesis.

Ken Ham was thrown out of two different homeschool conventions.

When he isn’t scamming money or demonizing science, he is squabbling with other xians.

IIRC, recently he called another bunch, heretics.

The Pullet Patrol Chorus will be ready to supply the proper background clucks on cue.

I really think the debate, should there be one, ought to be about the science curriculum. Creationists have lost the debate about the science. Let’s see some proposed lesson plans instead. People got ticked when they saw that ridiculous test, and some found it unbelievable (http://www.snopes.com/photos/signs/sciencetest.asp) — so I think it would be good to explore this kind of thing further.

In this, isn’t he just acting according to standard religious tradition? It might even be obligatory.

    Now that is awesome. LOL!

It would be awesome to see a pro-science rally outside an event where Ham is speaking, chanting in unison:

    WHERE YOU THERE?
    WHERE YOU THERE?
    WHERE YOU THERE?

Is it really a podcast? Or just a google+thing? Or do they just hate itunes for subscribing? How do I get it onto my ipod?

I would throw a dictionary at them.
