Deactivate. Deactivate!

It’s been a stressful couple of weeks for me, and I know it has been for a lot of you as well. I thought we could all use a little help as we head into the week to focus inward, let the stress dissipate, and get generally get grounded. So here’s a relaxation video via Ron Sullivan.

I feel more serene already.

    Thanks, Auntie Ron.

    Ah, such sweet, dulcet tones.

Whenever I recall that we *didn’t* inaugurate Mitt Romney, today, I cheer right up.

*sniff* I miss seeing Ron around.

If anyone has seen ASMR relaxation videos, this is a parody of them that just kills me. The first minute I couldn’t tell if he was going pure stupid crudeness with it, but then he got to the apples and I couldn’t stop laughing.

    YES!
    I’M MUCH CALMER!

  7. PZ Myers:

Well, I am feeling more relaxed, but as an unfortunate side-effect I now find myself completely incapable of negotiating the stairs in my house.

  8. Janine: Hallucinating Liar:

PZ, that is the old school. Now, they float above the stairs.

Time to hand in your nerd card.

Just to give credit where credit’s due (as this particular YouTune does not), this is by the brilliant Peter Serafinowicz.

A very clever take on that excellent meme “the beatings will continue until morale improves.”

Upstairs has the computer and bathroom. Negotiating the stairs is not a problem.

When you climb stairs… Say the following… E-LEV-ATE.

Could be worse. It could be a medley of Sontarian war protest songs (i.e. how there is never ENOUGH war).

  16. ChasCPeterson:

    serenity NOW!!!

Thank you. I’m in the middle of my Spanish tax return and I needed relaxation.

I was on my way to a sad, sad funeral this morning, when I saw this. It was the perfect mix of conflicting messages an made me laugh and lighten up just a little bit. Thanks and now … EXTERMINATE!!!

Very well done. The timing of it all was perfectly abrupt. I actually winced several times.
