They should just reword all instances of polls like this to “Do you feel that people ought to be able to vote on banning other people from having basic constitutional rights?”

It’s interesting to see the issue of gay marriage arise in Australia and to compare it to the issue as it exists in the US. I thought there would be more parallels, but the Aussies are better at advertising and at compassion, if their ‘for’ commercials count for anything. I hope Australia can join Canada and South Africa as another Commonwealth country that treats everyone equally.

Caine, as long as the Labor Party decides tomorrow that gay marriage is not of the devil, I don’t care about these polls….One can hope.

Don’t have to renew the browser or anything else to skew this one. It was 59/41 when I got tied of the thing. (The poll, not the underlying question.)

Heh, a poll even more useless than usual? I voted once because I am lazy. It’s already in favor of gay marriage by a decent amount. One of you computer geniuses needs to write a script to vote a few thousand times, to save everyone’s clicking fingers.

Tried it. We’re getting the 999 error. Denied. Too many requests. My proxies are spent. Looking for more.

Yes! It’s Labor party platform! And Turnbull is in favour of conscience votes for the libs. This doesn’t seal the deal by any means, but there should be interesting times ahead.
