Turtle chases tomato

Here I am on Labour Day (that’s right, check that extra U!), slaving away at some code rather than playing on the blogosphere. I mean, sure, it’s FUN to program, but I’m still neglecting my blogoduties. So, here’s some squee filler.

You should also check out PZ’s excellent analysis of the scientific evidence for how turtles evolved their shells. It’s both informative and well-illustrated, and the illustration of the turtle fetus kinda makes me go “awww”.

Have you heartless creeps no sympathy for the terror and anguish felt by the poor hunted tomato?

It is like a poor innocent wolf, fired upon from a helicopter, by the Sarah Palin of turtles!

I’ll bet that herding tortoises would be easier than herding cats!

    'Tis Himself

Last Friday I was listening to the radio. At 5pm the DJ said: “It’s the start of the Labor Day weekend. Even though this is a rock station I’m going to play a country song in honor of the holiday.” He then played this song.

I misread the title, and am disappointed that I did not find a turtle chasing a tornado.

My compassion was all for the poor tortoise, faced with a recalcitrant food with mysterious nom-repellent powers.
