And the shameless application of icing on the nonsense cake: pro-lifers are like Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
He actually thinks that abortion of a blastocyst is exactly like killing an adult human being for religious reasons. A woman’s right to bodily autonomy is exactly like the Holocaust. Unbelievable. How do you reason with people like him, exactly?

Of course, it would be totally useless to point out to a piece of filth like Barber that the Nazi party in Germany outlawed abortion so it is he that is on the side of the Nazis.

Because the ultimate goal of the pro-choice movement is to systematically eliminate every single fetus down to the very last one! ‘Cause they killed Jesus!
Actually, the comparisons with the Holocaust aren’t new. It’s been around as long as I’ve been on the ‘tubes.

You don’t. This whole ‘reason’ thing is a fun little game we play with ourselves. But don’t kid yourself that it has wider applicability to society at large.

Reasoning with people like Barber is like wrestling a pig. You get covered with mud and the pig enjoys it.

This sort of mouth diarrhea incites and justifies the murder of abortion doctors.
“The arguments that the Nazis made in order to dehumanize the Jews are the same arguments that we hear coming from the so-called pro choice movement to dehumanize the unborn child.”

Well, since you support the slaughter of those who are not (what’s your criterion, anyway? non-jews?) how are we supposed to tell you from other genocidal pieces of filth? Your uniform?

I try analogy but I suspect that only a 2×4 would make any dent in his opinions.

the Nazi party in Germany outlawed abortion
IIRC, the Nazi party outlawed abortion for “Aryan” women, but mandated abortion for “undesirables”. So while they were not purely anti-abortion, they were profoundly anti-choice. Much like the anti-choicers of today. Another parallel is that they started their persecution with minor harassment and escalated when no one (or not enough people) objected or countered their actions. Draw your own morals from the comparison.

You don’t.
You can suffer them, tolerate them, argue with them, defy them, ignore them or just hope they go away. You cannot reason with them because they do not recognize reason as being superior to faith. They simply will claim that faith has a hidden ultra power that changes everything.
So, there you are. And here we are. Just as it’s always been. But after tomorrow’s Reason Rally in D.C. there may be some other options becoming available. One hopes.

Presumably Barber knew what he was going to say, on camera, as he got dressed that morning – and still he wore a brown shirt.
Excuse me, I’ve got to go tweezer irony-meter-shrapnel out of my face now…

All this time in school, in the countless monuments and museums I visited, all the documentaries I watched, they lied to me.
They always told me that the Nazis compared the jews to vermin that was living at the expense of the German, Aryan people*.
They never told me that, in fact, the jews did occupy the bodies of the Germans, feasted on their metabolism and quite often damaged the host-body, like a blastocyte/embryo/fetus does.
Now I’m still confused because I thought the the Trills were mostly a DS9 invention.
* Am I the only person who keeps reading Aryan for Ayram?
