Pokemon, Minecraft, Guitar Hero and Magiquest: ALL SATANIC.

This guy ain’t original about Pokémon, neither. At least he pads out his talk with some assertions NOT made by this other crazy preacher by including the fact (FACT!) that the names of Pokémon are actual, honest-to-goodness Oriental demons.

You know, like Squirtle.

And Butterfree.

Totally Oriental demons. Given that the franchise originated in Japan, surely there’s gotta be some Japanese demon names in the Pokédex, right?

Also, Guitar Hero and Minecraft do not necessarily distract from Bible studies. See Objective Ministries on Minecraft and a really old post of mine about Guitar Praise. I dunno about that Magiquest though. It’s like a kinda-lame amusement park ride, only with levels. JUST LIKE THE LEVELS OF HELL.

Hat tip to aliasalpha for pointing this nonsense out.

This is stupid! Anyone who claims this don’t play those games at all. One time a friend of mine who’s deeply religious tried to proselytize me into giving up playing Poke’mon and collecting Poke’mon cards and stuff because it’s alleged to be evil, the cards is used to cast spells, and so on. I said to her it’s of Nintendo and there’s nothing evil about poke’mon at the same time visions of psychic and ghost type poke’mon pop in my head that unleashed “ungodly, satanic” that made me bend to her claims of poke’mon allegedly being evil to the point where I had to give up playing the games for awhile just to appease her. Actually I gave up playing Nintendo and throw away the Nintendo magazines and such do to being way too stimulated by them. To tell you the truth, concerning about her bull&^%$ about poke’mon being evil, she may have bended me to her idiocy, but she never broke me of playing and enjoying Poke’mon. Today although I don’t play Nintendo games anymore, I know for the fact that there is nothing evil or harmful about playing those games. They’re just fantasy games that are harmless and fun to play. Anyone who says otherwise never knew or played Poke’mon at all, let alone any other video game for Nintendo for that matter.

My stepmother was into all of this nonsense. When I was 14, I saved up and managed to buy my own NES at the pawn shop along with a copy of Final Fantasy. The moment she found it, she burned it (we lived out of town and had a burning barrel) because she thought it was satanic. She replaced it with a copy of “Bible Adventures” (see more here.) I ended up buying myself a second copy of Final Fantasy and keeping it with me at all times until I moved out a year later.

That said, our family wasn’t the most batshit insane in our social group either. Another family would leave TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network) on at all hours in order to keep demons out of their house – at least until the CRTC blocked it from broadcasting OTA in Canada.
