Hi! I'm a tech guy, skeptic, feminist, gamer and atheist, and love OSS and science of all stripes. I enjoy a good bit of whargarbl now and again, and will occasionally even seek it out. I am also apparently responsible for the death of common sense on the internet. My bad.
I have opinions. So do you. You want to share them with me. I would like to do likewise. Please don't expect a platform for proselytizing that will go unchecked and unchallenged, though. Contact me via the clicky thingies under my banner.
The commenting rules are simple: don't piss me off. This rule has worked for me for a decade; I have never found a need for any other rule, because any other rules leads to rules-lawyering. Just remember --
this is my property, not yours.
Hmm, I’ve only had two of the four recently. I may need to get on that. For my health, of course.
What, no Chocolate?
The ice cream, you’ll notice, is Hoof Prints, which contains chocolate caramel cups and ribbons of chocolate syrup. I believe that makes chocolate a subcategory of the ice cream group, as they’re both chock full of Vitamin S: Sugar.
We wouldn’t want to lose you to malnutrition.
Well, it wouldn’t hurt anything to lose a little bit of me, which is part of why my diet’s been so “unbalanced” lately. 🙂
I hope you don’t mind if I sidetrack this gastronomic delight to test something here. WordPress or some plugin has been gobling (ooh, a segue!) links to Cory Doctrow’s craphound on another blog (not the blog owner’s intent at all) so I’m trying to determine how widespread it is.
Wow. See, if I add the dot and the com to that hound domain, it goes nowhere.
and if I go craphound dot com it also gets eaten I bet.
Hm, well, it did on the other one. But just to be sure I guess I need a contol url like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cory_Doctorow
Interesting. What’s getting dropped? All mentions to craphound.com ?
… no, not for me at least… how about http://www.craphound.com ?
Try logging off and posting to your own site with a different email. If you put that full url in there, it just doesn’t go anywhere. No mention of moderation, just vanishes.
Here’s where I first noticed it: http://freerangekids.wordpress.com/2010/08/03/a-rave-review-of-a-book-i-filched-from-my-teenager/
Wine instead of beer and Maxwell House instead of brew-at-home Timmies? You really are a lousy Canadian…
