The Young Turks on O’Reilly’s ability to win an argument

While I don’t much care for the way O’Reilly wins debates, you can’t help but admire his skill at turning arguments on their head and winning despite being in the losing position. Well, skill, and a crack team of video editors helps.

Surprisingly enough, I somewhat agree with this video. I will not go so far as to say that I believe everything that Dawkins believes (obviously), but the man in the video has a point. O’Reily has been doing this for years and knows how to shift arguments quickly. I have no loyalty to a mass media icon who claims to uphold Christian “philosophy,” while admitting evolution is a fact (since I completely do not believe molecules to man evolution is true). It reminds me much of what C.S. Lewis said, “Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important. ”

One particular comment O’Reily said I do agree with is when he said, “My belief is perfectly compatible with science…,” as that same statement would be true coming from my own mouth. Interesting video.
