IntenseDebate plugin

Following the trend Cyberlizard and Attempts at Rational Behavior have started (or, more accurately, are probably following themselves), I’ve installed IntenseDebate for the comments section of each post. I’m a little worried about not being able to back out without losing new comments that are added, but I’m willing to do a manual import if necessary, while my site’s low-enough volume that it won’t be back-breaking work.

What do you folks think?

Well that's a relief. I'm not at home (where I have a MySQL Admin set up for quick access to my website database), or I'd look to make sure, but I hope you're right about that.

It looks like the reply via e-mail does not get stored in your WP database. In viewing the source for the page, that reply is notably absent. I'm guessing the replies from your site's WP database are showing up in the source, but hidden. The IntenseDebate comments are then overlayed using JavaScript.

With JavaScript disabled, the regular comments show up, but with enlarged gravatars. Emailed reply is absent from regular comments that way.

Looks like I'm going to have to disable the reply-by-email. Shame, that was a killer feature. Thanks for looking into it, man… as always, all it takes is a bit of concerted looking.
